I've been wanting to post this for awhile, but thought it might be to personal or to much information. I'm a very private person. There are a lot of people that are in a lot worse place them me and they never complain.
This post is kind of a continuation from another thread I posted.
Huckleberry Finn Pot Paddler (Canoe Boy)

I had a lot of fun in Canada exploring the San Juan and Desolation sound and other Canadian Islands and decided to stay up in the San Juan Islands another year so I could explore more of the Inside Passage. I had read about the huge salmon at Rivers Inlet in Outdoor life as a kid and I also wanted to find some secluded stream at coves in the middle of nowhere with no access, hike up them exploring the holes, catching some native trout.

I came back to Humboldt for Xmas with the family and to visit friends. I was at a friends house and went to take a piss and I couldn't pee----then a blood clot came out with blood everywhere--I know gross. I couldn't pee again the rest of the night and felt like I was going to burst in the morning. That blood clot broke lose and I was able to pee again the next morning. So much pain when you can't pee for hours. I went to see my Doctor that morning and it was his day off. I saw another Doctor and he told me he would set me up with a kidney specialist. I waited a couple weeks and then went back north--I should have been more proactive. After a month they called and said they didn't think I need to see the Kidney doctor. I have a-fib and was getting my monthly test up on Oracas Island. It's a small town friendly clinic and the doctor came in the room just to meet me. After I told him what had been happening he immediately set me up with a kidney specialist and he scheduled me for a CT scan on San Juan Island the next week. The test showed I had a very large tumor in my kidney and it had spread to my lungs--I was already stage 4. He wanted to take it out really soon--I told him I was thinking about heading home and he moved the date up her would operate. I thought maybe better to head back home closer to family and friend for major surgery. and follow ups.

When I got back to Humboldt I went to urologist that told me it had may have already spread to my brain and I might have it in my eyes too. He was so negative. He told me that I would have 40-50 % risk of complications due to my heart and A-fib. He said that maybe I should do nothing--call hospice and go home and die and that I only had 12-16 months I talked to my GP the next day and he recommended I go to Stanford University Hospital. After I told the urologist of my plan to go check out Stanford he said he would take out my kidney. I didn't want him doing it, but I scheduled the operation anyway as last resort. I had ended up in the emergency room 7 of the last 14 days and I was desperate. I'm on blood thinner do to my a-fib and one of the herbs I was taking had blood thinning properties. My last emergency visit he said he was going to admit me. When the emergency room Dr brought me the results I could see my blood was getting thicker and my hemoglobin level was safe. I knew the emergency room lady Doctor and I told her I didn't want to be admitted and she said it was her decision and I could bribe her with a fish. I still owe her, but I'm not going back unless I have to.

I got down to Stanford about a week latter and met my new Urologist. He asked me what I was there for and I told him so they could take out my kidney. He asked why I hadn't had it taken out already--we where on the same page. I latter Googled him and saw he spoke 11 languages. While he was with me the surgeon came in. He looked like he was from India, I could see he went to medical school in Africa. I am a very good judge of character and I could feel the brilliance in the room. He told me he could take my kidney out lathroscopically and I would get out of the hospital in 3-4 days. I said lets go for it. He told me his schedule was full and he couldn't remove it for another 6 weeks. I had cancer but the kidney tumor was what was messing with my quality of life. I told him I wanted it taken out now and he ended up calling me that night and said the operation was on in two weeks. The second day after my operation I told then it knew how to disconnect everything and I needed to go home so I could sleep--I'm a loner and it was really hard to sleep there. My second day I was out of bed and fooling around for 6 hours and I refused pain meds. The pain did build latter that evening and I had to take something.

The night nurses kind of freaked when they saw me walking around that night---but the day nurse knew where I was at and had given me the permission already to get up and walk around on my own. The doctors came in the next morning and they said I could go home after I told him where I was at and the nurse from the day before talked to him. I asked him if I could go fishing when I 1st checked out of the hospital, he told me I could but couldn't catch big fish. I told him I only catch big fish. I came back to see him for my post operation visit two week latter and he told me he had just gone through the same operation on another male. He said he couldn't get out of bed for two weeks and I was one tough customer. It was really kewl to see that this doctor that I thought was so brilliant had respect for me and knew I was no ordinary guy. He removed my restrictions early and told me I could catch as big of fish as I wanted to.

Ok enough about cancer a bit and to the adventure....

I had read about sailing down the west coast for year and wanted to sail down it catching albacore tuna. They said if you could sail the north west coast you could pretty much sail anywhere. Swells build in the Bering Sea before reaching our North Coast. My plan was to recover for 1 month and then sail south with my nephew to Newport Oregon where I would stay at a marina resort for the winter that had public bbqs--crab cookers---saunas-hot tubs and a swimming pool. After having to rely on the radar leaving the Juan De Fucca with all the fog we got about 60 miles offshore into Tuna water on the way to Brookings. We only caught 3 albacore, but they were hogs and we lost a few more. I think we could have caught a lot more fish if I would have turned around and trolled through the areas of bits and fish, but I wanted to get to my new resort as bad as I wanted to catch more fish. We smoke them and they were great. The only health problem I have had since getting there was the flu. It was pretty nasty while on a $100k a year chemo type drug. I thought I was over the flu, I hadn't really been drinking or eating anything and I was really dehydrated getting out of the hot tub and collapsed. People started calling 911 and I asked them not to--they did anyway. I hid in the shower as I heard the fire truck and ambulance coming and then jumped into my car and drove off just before they got there. Feeling bad that they would be wasting time looking for me I drove back and told them you're probably looking for me and refused treatment. He asked where I was going in my car and I said to get something to drink and eat. He asked me not to drive, but I was feeling lots better and knew food and water would help more then anything.

OK this is where I give the doctor the finger...

It had been 14 months after him giving me 12-16 to live and I decided to sail the rest of the way to Humboldt Bay by myself---my way of saying Fuck You. I went out 70 miles looking for albacore on my way south. I had planned to take a couple cat naps as the trip would take at least 48 hours, but there were to many big fishing boat netting way out there and I didn't want to wake up stuck in a fishing net. The second day the south wind really came up and waves were breaking over my bow and slamming my windshield.
I could only make about 1.5 knots--this was the real deal and I felt so alive, but a lot stressed since I mostly pick and choose my days and not a real hard core sailor. I pulled my 5 hand lines in leaving my pole out because I was getting slammed and didn't want to mess with it. The south wind waves where breaking on the northwest swells an it looked like they were turning into whirlpools as they broke. I was really tired and could see the waves like mirages looking like the coast and mountains of land. I angled off more easterly towards and could make a little better speed. I pulled into Brookings about midnight and had a 12 pound salmon on the pole I never pulled in. I waited a few more days for another window and sailed the last 70 miles to Humboldt Bay. Since I've got here I've caught a few halibut and lots of salmon. The tuna water is about 70 miles off shore now, but it looks like it might come into 40 miles or so this weekend. I might hit that.

A little more about the cancer---I've been doing herbs-mushrooms- Sutent the $!00k a year poison from Pfizer and then Rick Simpson Oil for about 5 months. I've been symptom free, but the CT scan last week came out bad. They say the cancer in my lungs has grown and it has spread to my stomach. The Rick Simpson Oil I get is lower in CBD's then I would like, but I supplement a concentrated CBD made from seeds. I really don't know, but I've heard 4-1 thc to cbd. I hope they reschedule it so they can do more testing

Although I'm not a chemist, my understanding is that the base of the chemical structure your looking for. Is most heavily present in the bud material. It would be least present in the seeds. So, my guess is, that you are receiving a substandard dose of Cannabiol...

You can easily, make the product yourself... Here's how I do it.

Thanks Vincent.. I have made the oil before when I was growing and not living on a boat. I've been a member of a dispensary for over 12 years and they give me $280 credit a month and 40 % off on RSO and 20 % off of weed to vape past that. The RSO is tested and I know exactly what's in it. I've been getting CBD in the RSO---just not as much as much as I would like. Even at the medical clinics the demand is for the THC. The stuff made from the seeds is also tested and it is high in CBD- I also have wondered of its as helpful medically as the cbd from buds.

    You're not old unmeg---lol

I'd agree with unmeg, the only time I've seen the cannabiol, fail. Is if the patient stops taking it. Or they have taken a lot of radiation with it.

Some people say, that most modern cannabis has been bred only for the high. So, there fore it is very limited in the necessary chemicals to produce a cure. That's why ditch weed might actually be a better choice to produce medicine with.

One of the reasons I bred ditchweed into my strains... Was because I found that these type of crosses grown under fluroscent lighting. Not only does it produce a vastly superior product to smoke... It is also superior medicine.

This type of information is being surpressed by a lot of places for a lot of different reasons. In places you wouldn't suspect. For example Marc Emery's minions band me over at Cannabis Culture for saying so...

Trying to ingratiate myself they said is why that happened... It's simply the truth...

thanks for sharing Hum. working in the medical field I've seen how many are in it for reasons other than the patients well being. then you run into those 1 in 100 dr's that are super smart AND empathetic. those are the keepers.
    wishing you all the best
