ive tried a lot of different mixes from the internet including subcools and the revs true living organics mix and eventually started making my own after learning and tweaking different things.

my mix is always changing and evoliving as i try new things.. i make a soil mix every two weeks to insure that i always have soil available cuz i have a ton of plants and am always transplanting. so my mix as of right now is as follows..

    slauson super soil mix

3.8 cf peat moss (alaska peat or premiere peat or any brand thats canadian sphagnum peat moss)
    2.0 cf coco
    1.0 cf EWC
1.0 cf compost or half compost half alaska humus
0.5 cf oak leaf mold (optional)
    2.0 cf perlite
    2.0 cf pumice
    0.5 cf vermiculite (optional)

    4 cups organicare pure 5-5-5
    4 cups organicare pure bloom
4 cups fox farm all purpose 5-5-5
    8 cups humic acid ore
    7 cups alfalfa meal
    7 cups fish bone meal
    5 cups kelp meal
    5 cups neem seed meal
    3.5 cups blood meal
    3.5 cups feather meal
    5 cups soft rock phosphate
    5 cups azomite
    3 cups rock phosphate
    3 cups dolomite lime
3 cups fast acting pelletized lime
    3 cups epsom salts
    3 cups gypsum
    4 cups diatomaceous earth

moisten and let cook for minimum of 30 days, turn and mix every day or every few days. keep moistened. if starting with clones cut with regular organic potting soil or peat moss 50/50, until they get some growth and then transplant into all super soil.

this is the optimal mix, of course it isnt always easy to source and buy all that stuff.. you simplify it and it'll still be very effective.

simplified version of must have amendments.

    3.8 cf peat moss
    2.0 cf coco
    1.0 ewc
    1.0 compost
4.0 pumice or perlite or mix of both.

10 cups fox farm all purpose 5-5-5
    7 cups alfalfa meal
    7 cups fish bone meal
7 cups soft rock phosphate or azomite or glacial rock dust
    5 cups neem seed meal
    5 cups kelp meal
    4 cups blood meal
    3 cups dolomite lime

3 cups fast acting pellitzed lime (optional)
    3 cups diatomaceous earth (optional)

just add water and ACT's when neccessary either once in veg and once in flower or every third watering.. if just plain water bores you, you can spice it up by adding pro tekt silica, seaweed extract, fish hydrosylate and humic acids every once and a while. my plants are healthier then ever and love life. very rarely do i have a problem and when i do i usually just transplant and it works itself out. right now im experimenting with using biobizz top max in flower to see if that bulks anything up or messes anything up for that matter. but just plain water will give you amazing buds. better then anything with chemical ferts.

i suggest everyone grower at least try this way once, pretty sure they will understand once they do.

I use roots 707 as base cause its pretty cheap and basically use Sub's recipe with a few twists of my own. Also love making teas I've only been running TLO or natural rather for a year. Before that I was all coco using chemical nutes.
