music is near and dear to most stoners heart, actually i've never met a toker who didn't enjoy live music.
i went and saw jack johnson a few years ago. after tailgating all day we brought a bunch of blunts and rolled j's into the show. sitting on the grass lighting and passing. once of our crew brought some incense sticks and we had nag champa burnin the people in the group next to us whip out a chillum and start passing it around and then over to us. we get tapped on the back and the group behind us starts handing us their smoke. everyone was passing and dancing, having such a BLAST! so peaceful and chill.

one of my great concert memories, but i know you guys have some crazy ones so spill!!! any woodstockers kickin around?

I've been to a shit load of concerts myself, started at the Superbowl of Rock in 1976 at Soldier field was watching people climb on top of the toilets about 150 yards away, a guy stands up on top and then there is a puff of smoke next to his head from an m-80 and the guy melted off of the port-a-potty instantly. That concert was REO, Journey, Eddie Money, Ted Nugent, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Lots of Dead shows, had tickets when John Bonhm died and they cancelled the Chicago Led Zepplin concert. Had an extremely wild day/night when Steve Dahl blew up Comisky Park(actually blew up a huge crate of disco records) in centerfield. Was supposed to be a doubleheader and they couldn't play the 2nd game because of the hole in centerfield, I was 15 at the time and drinking in the streets and bars outside Comisky. I lived in the suburbs but we'd ride the train downtown and fuck around all the time, a favorite was to go to lincoln park and fuck with the dealers. I remember one time this dealer chased us all the way back to the train station, I think we'd fucked with him 1 too many times. We'd go up to them and pretend like we wanted some herion, then switch to wanting cocain, then we'd switch to wanting acid and soon enough they'd be chasing us. And most of those guys couldn't run 100 yards but that 1 mofo must have chased us 2-3 miles. Not very good concert stories but most of my memories of concerts are kinda blurry, I used to drink a lot. I remember 1 time at poplar creek, an outdoor place, I was left to roll the joints while everyone went to buy some beer. We were at the top of the place right next to the pathway, had a blanket occupying our territory with me in the middle and 5-6 bags of weed and me rolling my head off. I had a line of like 15 dubies I'd rolled and this dude sat down and asked if we could smoke 1 of those joints. I fired up 1 and gave it to him and he gave me a handful of mushrooms, freeze dried so there was a lot. Best trade I ever made for a joint LOL, wasn't even trading I thought I was giving. I'm really stoned if you can't tell, I'm pretty sure you can. Take care and I hope all is well with you and yours

don't remember which albums tour it was when i saw rush for the first time in KC but shows were still general admission at that time and i was determined to get as close to front row as possible. made it to second row, center stage and was close enough that i could feel the heat from the pyros on my face. after one exceptionally loud and bright flash i had an instant sensation of omg! i'm blind and deaf!. that instant passed just as quickly as it had come on and i realized it was just my eyes adjusting back to normal as in after a camera flash and the roar of the crowd proved i wasn't deaf. had i actually died right then and there it would have been about as good a way as i could of conjured up. of course, i'd of not been able to see them live at the cow palace in san fran a year or two later where i'd consumed enough acid to have sworn alex was simultaneously playing both necks of his guitar.

Phoenix Park Dublin on a gloriously sunny day in August 1983, aged 15 with my childhood sweetheart. I remember thinking it was the happiest I'd ever felt. Amazing line up but Simple Minds set for me was the most memorable. I still get so nostalgic when I hear this…

We just saw our buddies new band play a small crowd under 1k. It was their 2nd show with Lagwagon's HANG TOUR.
Their album just dropped Veterans day so pick it up if ya like em. we got mad love with all access passes to the event. A first for me at this big of a event where people were stage diving. We got to watch the first band on the big screen in the bands room with the band.
While on stage I was taking a sample vid & the drummer LP's beats killed my mic, but anyway my brother Ben Harper comes over & give us a lil shout out.
COOL AS FUCK..... I dont get out much these days so its very special when I do and for it to be VIP it just makes it more so. I hope the video uploads I will post a couple still pics. Im not the guy snapping pics this time but will at the xmas show with NOFX members too.
If ya get a chance to catch these guys on tour DO IT GREAT ENERGY!!!!!!
