Curious about your favorite combo meter. My fifth hanna combo took a #@&% on me a few days ago and ordered a oakton combo meter. My last hanna wouldn't calibrate even after replacing the ph part. 2 others "froze up" and wouldnt reset, and the others conversion ratios were outta whack. Used oaktons about 12 yrs ago, and they were tanks. Unfortunately hannas are the only meters sold here.

Since i grow organically the ppms arent accurate, but the ph is key. And with the hannas, the ph accuracy seems to be to far off. Also, since the meters are designed for salts, organics dont accurately read, but they are useful to note drift, and different growth patterns.

Well the oakton meter is pretty nice. Easy to calibrate, easy to use, and has a nice big screen. Bought the replacement tip aswell.

I've used oakton for about 4-5 years and just ordered the replacement electrode for my ph meter. Until that arrives I purchased an inexpensive hanna as a backup. .

    I love my bluelab !
I don't like combos, I feel single meters more accurate.

You cant go wrong with bluelab equipment. I went through a couple of trimeters before I bit the bullet and bought a bluelab trimeter. The hannah equipment just cant seem to stay calibarated. Advanced Nutrients is touting some brand on one of their made-up magazines but it is expensive and probably doesnt do any better than the blue lab.

My oakton is pretty accurate. My local shop just got some blue labs, bought a tds, and Ph, both read the same as the oakton. Have to say the blue lab meters. Are pretty nice to.
