BEFORE THE GRIND-
the buds were covered with dark orange hairs, and the trichome production gave the bud the impression it was covered in a golden film... the buds were dense and a bit spongy and gave off a fruity tropical chemical-type skunk smell... the fruits that make up the tropical bouqet consists of pineapple, mango, and papaya.
AFTER THE GRIND-
once the buds are ground up, the sweet fruity skunk smell gets magnified... the skunk has strong overtones of pineapple and ends with a light cheese smell mixed with chemicals. this is not the creamy cheese smell i experienced with my Cheeseberry Haze... very different.. still sweet cheese but intertwined with a superglue aroma.
the initial hit is smooth, and the light sweet taste from the C99 parenthood is evident... the cheesy skunk smell has vaguley transferred over in flavor but very little... the dominant taste on the inhale is tropical fruit cocktail but not very sweet... more like a floral smell of fruits rather than fresh-fruit smell... the exhale is equally as smooth but the "chemical" taste is noticable on the exhale... kind of an odd taste but not bad...
the high comes on very smoothly... it wasnt too heavy. i start to feel it in my temples and slowly transcends down my spine.. a very warm buzz that comes over my body... not too heavy- and somewhat of a clear cerebral high... the high off this reminded me of the high from the Jacks Cleaner... very balanced, and not too heavy but very noticable. i see this strain having some slight medicinal values dealing with stress, anxiety etc. the Cheese side of the gentics round things off with a little more of an indica stone...
overall, this was a pretty decent strain. even though she wouldnt be run in MY garden, i can see why people like Sub's gear... i found this to be a nice cross, with a bit of an unusual taste "cheese-wise".. i prefer the more creamy sweet funky skunky cheese rather than the more chemical superglue type i experienced here... although the pineapple aroma and taste that followed was a pleasant suprise one thing that i CANT debate is that FunkMonk has done an excellent job YET AGAIN... keep it Funky my brotha.
