***The Donation Thread*** (Sticky Submission)

Ok so I am making this thread so that less fortunate growers on a desperate budget might have the chance to obtain some equipment otherwise unaffordable to them.

That being said these are the rules:

1. This thread is non-profit. This isn't to sell your unwanted equipment, craigslist is for that. The only compensation allowed is the cost of shipping said item(s). Members in violation of this rule will not be allowed to post in this thread in the future and will be flagged in post containing their handle and instructions not to respond to said member with the reasoning.

2. You must actually use the item(s) you obtain through this thread. Example: If someone is willing to donate a 600 watt HID lighting system to you, you better document a grow in a grow log using it. Failure to do so will cause you to be flagged in a post with instruction not to be donated to in the future. This means no taking others free shit and selling it for your personal gains.

3. No member will be allowed to claim more than 1 donation per month unless no interest is being shown in a particular donation. Let others have a chance. No member will receive more than a total of 5 donations overall. We aren't going to supply all you growing equipment, your should have a job if you intend to grow.

4. All donations must be in accordance with the TOS i.e No seeds,clones,local hook ups, or MOM. Wish we could but we can't and thats that. This is a serious one violating my rules will cause you to be ignored in this thread violating this rule will get you banned most likely.

5.No Rip Offs! Meaning if a members sends you the cost of shipping for an item before you send said item you send it and vis versa if a member sends you an item and covers the shipping up front and you agreed to pay the shipping upon arrival then do so. Members found in violation of this rule will be asked not to return to this thread and their handle will be posted in this thread instructing other members not to respond to the said members.

6. Pretty easy one thank the donating member chances are they could have made anywhere from $50-$300 reselling some items. (Won't be enforced but it's common sense.)

7. Only post donations being made. No Looking For Post, Off topic posts, or random chatting please. This is because I want this thread to remain clean and accessible to members. Private Message aka PM donating members concerning particular donations. Donating members please once a donation has been completed post that the item has found a home and who the lucky recipient was. These are the only 2 things I want see posted in this thread.

8. Any personal mailing information that must between the donating member and the receiving member must NOT be done in this or any other thread, doing so will put you in direct violation the WW TOS and more than likely earn you a banning. I must stress that you discuss this information in Private Messages only. Neither WW Staff or I will be held responsible for this exchange of personal information between members, this action will be done at the risk and responsibility of the participating parties only. Use your better judgment folks best I can tell you here.

9. Please report any member violating rules #1,2,4,5, or 8 to me and/or Weedwatch.com staff and it will be dealt with immediately. How ever understand that if a member does rip you off Neither Weedwatch.com Staff or I are Responsible for your losses, said member would be banned from using this thread in the future and flagged in a post instructing members not to respond to said member with the theft listed as the reason. On another note Weedwatch.com Staff is not responsible for enforcing these rules, but by making them aware of violations of a serious nature they can either post a review instructing members not to respond to said member in violation and the reasoning if they do so feel inclined, or they may simply pass the information on to me to deal with as I see fit.

So with that out of the way, My fellow WW Growers please if you have working grow equipment that you are looking to part with but don't require personal gain please post it in this thread. Some members want to grow but simply don't have the funds for all the high end equipment. So if you're upgrading your setup and replacing a working item please consider this thread and less fortunate growers.

It is ok for receiving members to tip donating members if they want to, but donating members may not require tipping.

I hope this really helps some folks out, growing is a great past time and cannabis is an amazing plant.

I don't know I'm not sure how this thread is still here... As smokey said without Canna's Approval on it he would move it to the staff boards. I sent Canna a PM, maybe he asked smokey to let it run its course for now... Smokey if you read this and know whats up will you fill us in? Thanks

I havent heard anything from canna on this but Ive decided to leave this here in hopes of getting some feedback from members on what they think to the idea.

I think its an awesome idea. My county has something similar, where people trade unwanted items or just give them away to other community members that need them more. Never seen this done on a forum before. As long as you arent trading clones or weed or seeds I can see it as a great addition to the site, and probably something to bring in more members as well.

yea we have a site here called freecycle that lets people donate things to people who want them but cant aford it, comes in real handy.

Yep free cycle is what i was talking about. Ive never had much to do with it as i used pretty much everything i have but signed up awhile back in case someone asked for something i dont really use.

I'm glad to see members of staff seeing this as a possible positive addition to the website. Members please jump in and add your thoughts about this thread. For now it's a discussion in process rather than an active thread I think. Also for now I guess this is being allowed so also feel free to use it as intended.

So forget about that rule on No random chatting or off topic posting... Don't know why I was set for Grinch mode there... But replace it with no Arguing, Fighting, Dick Measuring, or extreme Douche-Baggery... LOL however
regular Douche-Baggery will be allowed in playful manor, All name calling with be subject to the content and aim of the containing post. I.E posting to someone "Hey Fuck Face! How's hangin'? Good to see you around..."=perfectly ok if you ask me. Response "What the fuck is your issue asshole. It's immature children like you that drag these sites down, how about you fuck off!?...=instigating/name calling.
Simple differences...
